9/24/26: This is Buzz: Immersive Takeover

For one night only, MTV’s lost masterpiece takes over Atlas9.

On Thursday, September 24, experience This Is Buzz, an experimental, music-driven documentary exploring the wildly influential, and nearly forgotten, MTV series BUZZ.

Directed by Mark Pellington (The Mothman Prophecies, I Melt With You) and hosted by RuPaul, BUZZ explored overlooked corners of global life with a visual language that still feels remarkably ahead of its time.

But this is more than a film screening. It’s a full Atlas9 takeover.

Throughout the evening, scenes, clips, music and imagery from the BUZZ archives will spill beyond the theater and throughout Atlas9’s 30+ rooms, displays and interactive installations. Guests will encounter rarely and never-before-seen episodes, archival artifacts and a collection of Pellington’s iconic music videos, turning Atlas9 into a walk-through extension of the film itself.

Then, experience This Is Buzz on the HOLOMAX immersive screen in Auditorium #9, followed by a live Q&A with director Mark Pellington.

It’s a rare chance to rediscover one of television’s most fascinating hidden gems, and experience it in an entirely new way.
